Dunn bound for trials at Australian club

Navua football midfielder Thomas Dunn is heading to Australia on Sunday for a trial with Sydney FC.

Bula Boys team manager Kartik Reddy expressing his excitement while confirming the news.

He said the national rep is now knocking on the doors of A-League teams and has the chance to showcase his talents on a larger scale.

“He will be attending training sessions and playing in friendly matches during his stay with the club from July 8 to 19,” said Reddy.

“His remarkable journey, both on and off the field, has captivated fans and earned him recognition for the trials with the Australian professional soccer club based in Sydney, New South Wales.”

The Fiji Football Association will be taking on all responsibilities for Dunn’s trials in Sydney.

“Fiji FA is thankful to its affiliate partners in Australia AUFFI and Fiji FA Liaison in Australia, Nick Sharma, for accepting to provide necessary support to the player while in Sydney for the trials,” Reddy added.

Dunn was part of the Fiji Football men’s team that recently competed at the OFC Men’s Nations Cup in Vanuatu.

He was one of the consistent and standout players in the Fiji team throughout the tournament.
