Digicel Fiji Junior Bula Boys under-19 head coach Marika Rodu is confident that his team has gained valuable experience through their interactions with senior players in the Digicel Premier League and is well-prepared for their first match against Tahiti on Friday at the OFC Men’s Championship in Samoa.
“The team is in a good space in terms of preparations, the process has been busy, but I’m pleased to see the boys well-prepared and eager for the matches,” said Rodu.
The primary goal for the team is to reach the final, with leading their pool being crucial as it would provide them with the opportunity to compete in the World Cup next year.
Team Fiji is grouped in Pool A alongside Tahiti, Solomon Islands, and the winner of a qualifying tournament.
