A DEVASTATED Seini Naibe Sakeo is calling on authorities and the public to help find those responsible for the death of her 20-year-old daughter, Elina Senirewa.
Last seen by her mother on Friday, June 14, Elina’s last known companions before her lifeless body was found in Lovu, Lautoka on Saturday afternoon were two men.
Ms Sakeo said her daughter had gone to a friend’s home in Ganges Rd in Drasa on Friday evening but never returned.
“I was informed by her friends that there were two boys waiting for her here at Bula Place in Waiyavi.
“They had picked her from here and from there we don’t know what else happened.”
Now living every parent’s nightmare, Ms Sakeo said she would never forget the day police officers turned up at her home asking for her to identify Elina’s body.
“As soon as I saw her picture, I knew it was my daughter and everyone was crying in the house.”
She said she could not think of anyone that would want to hurt Elina.
“She would not fight or argue with anyone.
“I grew up here at Bula Place and this is the first time for such an incident to take place.
“Nothing like this has happened in my family.
“And I hope if anyone knows the number plate of the vehicle that took her to Vitogo for them to come forward and help us.”
Meanwhile, police said investigators are awaiting the post-mortem examination results of a woman found lying motionless in Vitogo.
“An initial report was received at the Lautoka Police Station on Saturday afternoon, whereby officers from the Lautoka Crime and Crime Scene Investigations Unit were deployed to the scene,” police said.
“The victim’s body was uplifted and conveyed to the Lautoka mortuary.
“A post-mortem examination will be conducted to confirm the victim’s cause of death as investigations continue.”
