Team Fiji standout athlete Yeshnil Karan achieved a remarkable feat by breaking the national half marathon record in Suva yesterday.
The esteemed winner of three gold medals at the 2023 Pacific Games participated in the Munro Leys Suva Marathon and made history which was also part of the 2024 Oceania Athletics Championships.
With an outstanding performance, Karan completed the race in just one hour 7:40 minutes, surpassing the previous record set by Parsottam Lal in 1998 by a significant six minutes.
This incredible accomplishment not only showcases Karan’s exceptional talent and dedication but also highlights his commitment to the sport.
