The heavy rain in Nadi yesterday disrupted the outdoor sports that were being played at the 2024 TISI Sangam Convention. Sports Committee chairman Deepesh Goundar said they had to change venues for some sports to allow them to be played under heavy rain.

“Due to the heavy rain, we experienced, it was a challenge. We had to change a few game venues to ensure they could be played,” Goundar said..

“We also had to call off some sports for the welfare of the players.

“Despite the adverse weather conditions, it didn’t dampen the spirit of the tournament. It just strengthens the unity spirit among us.”

The outdoor sports include football, netball, volleyball, and golf.
