Police investigate death of 11-year old

An 11-year-old child has died in Nadi after he was allegedly electrocuted on Thursday night.
Divisional Police Commander West (DPC/W), Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Iakobo Vaisewa said the unfortunate incident occurred at Moala Village in Nadi.
“The victim was playing in their backyard when he was electrocuted by a live wire,” he said.
“He was rushed to the Nadi Hospital but was unfortunately pronounced dead on arrival. Investigations continue.”
SSP Vaisewa has reminded parents and guardians to monitor their children’s activities at all times, to avoid such unfortunate accidents.
