Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has sought legal advise regarding pending issues involving Minister for Women Lynda Tabuya.

In waiting for advise, he said no decision has been made regarding her status as Government Minister.

Mr Rabuka said he did not approve her overseas travel because he wanted to meet with Ms Tabuya if any legal advise was received.

Ms Tabuya’s trip to New York for the 68th session on the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW68) was not approved by the Prime Minister.

The trip has been led by Permanent Secretary for Women, Children and Social Protection Eseta Nadakuitavuki.
