Maika Lamax Dau had outstanding performance for his Suva under-15 side as they beat Rewa 3-1 during the McDonald’s Talent Development League at Fiji FA Academy grounds in Vatuwaqa yesterday.

In their first match of the day, Dau stood out as the best player on the field.

Despite challenging weather conditions, coach Meli Yasawa praised the team for their great game and their commitment to playing their best.

“It was a great game even though the weather was not good, but the boys still turned up to play,” said Yasawa.

“Majority of the players are aged between 13 and 14, Facing Rewa was a tough one as they are an experienced side and well developed.”

The competition was intense in the first half, with Rewa putting up a strong performance.

However, Suva regrouped during halftime, focusing on improving their defence and attacking strategies.

This adjustment paid off, with Maika Lamax Dau’s goal securing the victory. Yasawa expressed confidence in the team’s abilities and their readiness to take on other teams.
