Motorists and members of the public are being advised that several roads in the Western Division are currently closed due to flooding caused by heavy rain.
The Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) says the closed roads are as follows:
- Varadoli Back Rd, Ba. Crossing – Closed to traffic.
- Varadoli Cemetery Rd, Ba. Crossing – Closed for all Traffic,
- Marinitawa Rd, Ba. 1st crossing. Underwater and closed to traffic,
- Rakiraki access under water closed to all traffic,
- Debris at Vunitogoloa bridge, Kings Rd, Rakiraki,
- Dramasi Rd, Tavua. 1st Crossing still underwater,
- Korotale Valley Road, Rakiraki.
- Naqoro flat surface flooding. Single lane currently open.
- Nasau Rd, Rakiraki. Water level rising Savusavu crossing
- Balevuto Crossing, Ba. Approach washout. Open to single lane for traffic.
- Babriban Crossing, Ba. Underwater and closed to traffic
- Mataniwai Rd, Tavua. Still underwater
- Nadarivatu Rd, Tavua. Balata Flat. Surface flooding, currently open to traffic.
- Kings Rd, Rakiraki. Vunitogoloa bridge open to all traffic
- Vitiri Rs, Rakirkai. Crossing under water closed to all traffic.
- Vatawai Rd, Ba. Crossing Underwater and closed to traffic
- Kings Rd near Yaqara Bridge, Tavua. Surface flooding, currently accessible to traffic.
- Yaladro Rd, Tavua – still underwater
- Nacilau Rd, Lautoka. Crossing – Closed to all Traffic
- Kings Rd – Matawalu to Nabulini currently open to traffic. Hotspot sections will be subjected to surface flooding if rain persist.
- Nausori Road, Rakiraki. Road& bypass clear and open to all traffic.
- Rukuruku Rd, Tavua. underwater closed to traffic
- Matawalu Rd, Lautoka. First 100m subjected to surface flooding. Open to heavies & 4x4s
- Vunikavikaloa Rd, Rakiraki. Crossing under water closed to all traffic
- Matawalu Rd, Lautoka. 2nd culvert crossing. Underwater closed to traffic
- Matawalu Rd, Lautoka. Crossing at 2.03km Closed to traffic
- Mate Road Crossing, Nadi – flooded and closed to all traffic.
- Arolevu Road Crossing, Nadi – flooded and closed to all traffic.
- Chuni Lal Road Crossing, Nadi – flooded and closed to all traffic.
- Savalau Road 2nd Crossing, Nadi – overtopping and open to 4×4 only.
- Savalau Road 3rd Crossing, Nadi, flooded and closed to all traffic.
- Matacawa Rd, Tavua. 1st Crossing – closed to traffic.
- Field 40 Tramline Road CH00 to CH250, Lautoka – flooded and closed to all traffic.
- Buabua Road 1st Crossing, Lautoka – flooded and closed to all traffic.
- Vuda Back Road 1st Crossing, Lautoka – flooded and closed to all traffic.
- Navula Road Crossing, Lautoka – flooded and closed to all traffic.
- Drasa Dam Road 1st Crossing, Lautoka – flooded and closed to all traffic.
- Saru Back Road Crossing, Lautoka – flooded and closed to all traffic.
- Vaivai Road 1st Crossing, Lautoka – flooded and closed to all traffic.
- Abaca Road 1st Crossing, Lautoka – flooded and closed to all traffic.
- Namunamu Rd, Rakiraki. 1st Crossing under water closed to all traffic.
- Vutuni Rd, Ba. 3rd Crossing underwater and closed to traffic.
- Waimari road, Rakiraki. Surface flooding
- Waimari Riad, Rakiraki. Under water closed to all traffic
- Katudrau crossing under water closed to all traffic.
- Lubulubu Rd 1st crossing Water level rising.
- Colasi road under water closed to all traffic
- Rakiraki access under water closed to all traffic
