James Singh is determined to challenge Alifereti Kauyaca for his cruiserweight title, with hopes of securing the match in June or July.

The Fiji heavyweight champion expressed his eagerness to transition to the cruiserweight division and vie for the coveted title currently held by Kauyaca.

Acknowledging Kauyaca’s prowess in the ring, Singh commended his recent performance against Joseph Kwadjo.

“He is a good fighter, doesn’t talk a lot, just talks in the ring, it wasn’t a fight we expected last week against Joseph Kwadjo,” said Singh.

“The way they fought wasn’t that good, our sparing sessions are way tougher than the fight they fought.”

Singh emphasized his rigorous training regimen, including intense hill sprints and a month-long camping expedition in the jungle for added preparation.

With four months dedicated to training, he remains focused on his goal of claiming the cruiserweight title from Kauyaca before setting his sights on international competition.

He plans to continue honing his skills and technique to succeed in future fights abroad. Despite facing criticism and negativity from some quarters, Singh expressed gratitude to his supporters for their unwavering backing.
