Thirty-nine troops from the Republic of Fiji Military Forces left our shores on Monday for Nepal, as part of an exercise to increase participants’ interoperability and peace operations skills on various levels before their deployment in UN peace operations.

The RFMF personnel will participate in the Multinational Peacekeeping Exercise Shanti Prayas (SP IV), which focuses on training UN peacekeeping personnel on various aspects of operations.

The Chief of Staff Joint Taskforce Command Captain (Navy) Tuilevuka, while farewelling the troops, emphasised the importance of the deployment and how crucial it was to the RFMF.
