Indonesian nationals in Fiji participated in the pre-poll voted yesterday at Suva’s Studio 6 Yatu Lau Conference Hall.
Indonesia will conduct elections for a new president on February 14, 2024.
The pre-poll was organised by the Indonesian Embassy in Suva.
Listi Patel Nasution, a member of the embassy’s election committee, said the ballots would be counted after the poll.
“It’s just a one-day poll,” Ms Nasution said.
“After the poll, we will count the ballots and report the results to our elections office in Indonesia.
“We are doing fine; by lunchtime today (yesterday), 26 residents had voted. “We expect all our voters to cast their votes by 6pm.”
