This year’s Fiji Fashion Week will be a call to action for women empowerment and gender inclusion.
Organisers of the week-long extravaganza have put together an event that promises to bring not only fashion but the voices of women to the runway.
The theme of the event, #Inspire #Inclusion, will be a point of discussion during the International Women’s Day celebrations at the Grand Pacific Hotel on March 6.
Notable names expected to attend the Women’s Day breakfast are Nama Fiji founder Deborah Sadranu, Drug Free World Fiji Kalesi Volatabu and Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association CEO Fantasha Lockington.
Ms Sadranu is expected to share her insights on sustainability and empowerment in the fashion industry while Ms Volatabu will discuss the importance of education and advocacy in creating a safer environment for women.
Meanwhile, Ms Lockington will shed light on the challenges and triumphs of women in the tourism sector.
Fiji Fashion Week remains committed to creating an inclusive and empowering space for women in the fashion industry, contributing to the larger movement towards a society where every woman is valued and given equal opportunities.
A second event will also be held in the Western Division hosted at the Tanoa International Hotel in Nadi on March 8.
