The stage is set for the 2024 Rexona Bula Business House Futsal Cup to kick-off in style on February 27 at the FMF Gymnasium in Laucala Bay, Suva with 40 teams confirmed for the open men’s division and six in the women’s division.

There are eight pools for the men’s open division with four teams in each pool.

Tournament organiser Alan Kumar of Bula Events Group said the highlight of the event which will carry on for 11 weeks is the participation of six women’s teams.

“For the first time ever, we will be featuring six women’s teams. Few years back we started with three, then to four and now six teams have registered,” he said.

“That shows the growth in women’s futsal and we believe that by providing them this platform and not charging them entry fees, is a great way to contribute towards Futsal Soccer development for women.”

Kumar thanked major sponsors Rexona which is distributed by the Motibhai Group in Fiji.

“A big thanks to the major sponsor REXONA for coming on board and supporting our competition. We are very much delighted to connect with one of the leading brands in the world and in Fiji which is distributed by Motibhai Group.”

The event will provide a platform for social networking within the capital city while players and fans will get a chance to enjoy their favourite sport as well.

The theme for this event is: “Stop drugs and domestic violence”.
