IT’S going to be an epic final in the 12th McDonald’s Fiji’s Coral Coast 7s women’s division.

New Zealand’s Matakesi was the first team to book its spot in the final after a dominant performance against Ezers.

Despite being starved off possession in the first few minutes of the match, the Kiwis showed their experience by pressuring the locals in their own territory.

They made use of their opportunities to come away with a 31-5 win.

This sets them up for a brutal encounter against the shadow Fijiana 7s side, Mount Masada.

Mt. Masada thumped Fresh’et Navy 33-7.

Navy started strong, scoring the first try and after a few hard tackles and prized possession, Fijiana executed their set-pieces to bag the win and a place in the final.

The women’s final is scheduled for 4.30pm.
