Fiji Development Bank CEO Saud Minam has assumed the chairmanship of the Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia and the Pacific (ADFIAP) following the stepping down of current chairman Mominul Islam.
Mr Minam will continue Mr Islam’s term and preside over all official meetings and invitations.
“In assuming the position of chairman, Mr Minam brings with him a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to the values and objectives of ADFIAP,” the Manilla-based organisation stated.
“His leadership is expected to usher in a new chapter for the organisation, building upon the strong foundation laid by his predecessor.”
Membership of ADFIAP includes all development banks and other financial institutions engaged in the financing of development in the Asia-Pacific region.
Founded in 1976, it has 90 member-institutions in 40 countries.
