Livai Natave says he is excited for the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific campaign next season.

Initially with the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua’s development squad, Natave played an integral role for the Nadi Jets in the Skipper Cup and Farebrother Trophy Challenge competitions this year.

He is named as one of the three loosehead props by Drua head coach Mick Byrne for the 2024 season alongside Haereiti Hetet and Emosi Tuqiri.

“I have learnt to take good care of myself, nutrition, recovery while being with the Drua set-up which has helped me become a better player,” the 24-year-old said.

“I am looking forward to the new season with a lot of hard work put in during the pre-season with the boys.”

Natave said his family members back in Moala Village in Nadi were already asking for tickets for next season’s home games.

“I am looking forward to play at home in front of fans. My aim is to make the matchday squad on every occasion and I am grateful to the coach for giving me this opportunity and believing in me,” added Natave.

The Drua will play seven games in Fiji, with five set for Lautoka’s Churchill Park and two at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.

The Drua’s first home game will be at Churchill Park in Lautoka on March 9 against the 2023 champions Crusaders at 1.05pm.
