Ratu Joeli Bulu Derenalagi Naevo was installed as the new Tui Nawaka in Nadi yesterday.
He replaces Ratu Tomasi Kanailagi Naevo, who died in December 2021, after a short illness.
“The Tui Nawaka will be the chief of five villages in the Tikina of Nawaka,” said Aliverete Dere, a close family member.
“All the people from the vanua o Nawaka are present today (yesterday) with the Tui Nadi with family members from around Fiji are here today.”
“We are celebrating the installation of the new Tui Nawaka, our new chief.”
