Update: 2:49PM MEMBERS of the Ma’unatul Islam Association marked a special event in the Muslim calendar today with prayers and thanksgiving for the life of Prophet Muhammed.
Tourism Minister Faiyaz Koya, who was the chief guest at the celebration, said the event was a perfect time to spread the messages of peace and unity which the esteemed Prophet had promoted during his time.
Sunni Muslims from across Lautoka met at the Drasa Vitogo mosque to mark the 1489th birthday of Prophet Muhammed.
