The Datec Fiji Tech Summit has been hailed a “world class” event because of its ability to bring together international tech experts who brainstormed ideas on being better equipped to tackle the challenges of this ever-evolving tech world.

Datec Fiji chief executive Satyen Singh noted this at the successful culmination of the two-day event at Natadola, Sigatoka, yesterday.

“The Tech Summit 2023 has been very successful and the feedback last year when the event started is that it has been world class,” he said.

“We have 375 delegates and vendors and there have been two events globally and what we have done in Fiji is unmatched.

“We are very happy to deliver a successful event and I hope to raise the bar higher for next year.”

With 70 vendor participants from across the world, experts were educated on a range of important topics ranging from artificial intelligence (AI) to cyber threats and managing their application security and middleware system.

“What was covered in this event was how do we drive growth.

“We do this by enhancing our operations, by extending our reach, by extending and adding new channels.

“And that is what the vendors covered, how we as an enterprise can expand, reach growth and increase our profitability.”

Mr Singh added the theme “Connecting the Pacific through technology” could not come at a better time and reflected well on the growth of the tech market in the region.
