The 21-year-old driver who was involved in a fatal accident along Stinson Parade in Suva last week will appear at the Suva Magistrates Court tomorrow.
The driver has been charged with one count of dangerous driving occasioning death.
Shayal Wati, 23, died when she was hit by a Nasese bus allegedly driven by the man on Thursday afternoon.
Meanwhile, Nasese Busese Limited released a statement saying it would fully co-operate with authorities.
“We send our deepest condolences to family and friends who have irreversibly lost a loved one,” the statement said.
“We regularly impress upon our drivers that nothing is more important than the lives of pedestrians and passengers, and, while tragic, this accident is unacceptable.”
The company said it would re-examIne internal mechanisms to prevent such accidents from occurring in the future.
