Exposure, awareness and the promotion of their products are the three main reasons behind Organic Plus Fiji’s participation in the World Food Day and 2023 National Agriculture Show at the Vodafone Arena in Suva.
Managing director Robert Hay said this is the first time the company is participating in the national event since its establishment in 2020.
Mr Hay said the company’s flagship product is liquid compost made from the waste of food production in which they took waste from food production sources and mixed it via a form of technology they created themselves; a nutrient solution is then developed which helped feed the soil and reduce pesticides.
Mr Hay said the use of their product has increased since it was first introduced with more than 2000 followers on their social media account.
He said farmers all over the country were using their product, which shows how beneficial they’ve become since its introduction.
The company has set up a distribution agreement with main agriculture distributors who then send their products to retailers around the country.
The products are sold in a variety of sizes at their booth at the World Food Day and National Agriculture Show.
