‘Aggressive’ PSV driver captured on video charged by LTA

The Land Transport Authority has charged the taxi driver who was the subject of a viral social media video last week displaying an aggressive behaviour to a younger female passenger.

It has been established that the driver has been charged with not adhering the conduct of a driver and failure to follow shortest routes.

The LTA confirmed that both parties – the complainant and the driver – were called in yesterday and their statements were recorded.

The LTA found the driver had breached public service vehicle regulations.

“The driver was also issued with a warning letter and also the driver undergone counselling session with our Regional Manager Central Eastern, which was witnessed by the TL Enforcement,” the LTA stated.

“To conclude, the authority will not hesitate to cancel or suspend driver license if it’s repeated as the permit belongs to LTA and any breach of conditions will be faced with severe consequence.”
