Fiji Airways second Airbus A350-900 XWB named the Island of Vatulele touched down at Nadi International Airport this morning.
The new aircraft was welcomed by the people of Vatulele and staff of Fiji Airways during a welcoming ceremony officiated by managing director and CEO Andre Viljoen.
Vatulele Sauturaga, Jone Naisoro said the aircraft being named after their island was significant for their people.
Mr Naisoro said he was proud to have been able to represent their people.
He said they were proud that the aircraft would carry the name of their small island across the world.
