Entries flow in for Ba Open

About 55 entries has been made in less than 24 hours on release of entry forms for the 53rd RC Manubhai Ba Golf Open which will be on September 16-17.

This was revealed by Ba Golf Club captain Rohit Sharma.

“The hype is really good building up to the biggest event of our annual calendar,” he said. The 36-hole two-day event is expected to bring in a number of overseas golfers as well.

“Last year, we had players from Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Vanautu plus our local players,” Sharma said.

“We have increased the amateur prizemoney of $10,000 from last year to over $15,000 this year.”

Chandra emphasised that the field will be limited to 100 players only.

“The entry fees is $100 and we look forward to the event,” he said.

“I also acknowledge the support from RC Manubhai, especially the director Mr Rajesh Patel for always supporting the event.”

Abid Hussein won the amateur category last year.
