New Caledonia’s international airline – Aircalin – continues to spread its wings with the opening of a direct Fiji-Tahiti route and a second weekly flight to Noumea from December 6, 2023.

In a media statement the airline management shared that their weekly direct flights between Nadi and Papeete were scheduled every Wednesday from December 6.

According to the statement by doubling the frequency between New Caledonia, Fiji, and French Polynesia, Aircalin gives business, family, and leisure travellers more freedom to customise the length of their stay.

“In addition to the already successful Tahiti-Singapore route via Noumea, our Polynesian neighbours will gain from a new destination (Fiji) as well as new route opportunities via Nadi or Noumea to Australia and the islands of the Western Pacific,” it said.

“The partnerships established with our industry partners Fiji Airways and Air Tahiti Nui (Noumea-Papeete-Los Angeles codeshare flights) allow for better access to and from North America, which is made possible by the doubling of frequencies to Nadi and Tahiti. These are also the quickest routes to the continent of America.”
