The Tailevu Naitasiri side came back from two goals down to hold a much fancied Suva to a 2-all draw in a Digicel Fiji Premier League match at the Uprising Sports Complex yesterday.
Two first half goals to Alex Saniel saw the whites take a commanding 2-nil lead in the first spell.
Tailevu Naitasiri’s France Catarogo got one back for Tailevu Naitsiri late in the forts spell as Suva led 2-1 at the break.
Tailevu Naitasiri revamped it’s midfield and attack and managed to find the equalising goal in mid day in the second spell.
Catarogo sliced a header from a cross to fire up the last quarter for her match. Both teams tried hard to find the winner but to no avail.
Tailevu Naitasiri coach Priyant Mannu said his team played a good game and could have won it as well.
“Going down 2-nil in the first spell we had to work really hard to get back,, Mannu said.
“Really proud of the boys for getting the two goals and one point for us in this crucial game.”
