Mikaele Ravalaca issued a challenge to Nathan Singh after he knocked Farzan Ali out in the first round of their Lewis-Hill Promotions fight at the Vodafone Arena on Saturday night.

Ravalaca said with only 50 per cent preparation, it took him one minute and six seconds to deck Ali and called on Singh to sign on the dotted line to fight him.

“I want to challenge Nathan Singh,” Ravalaca said.

“He is always dancing in the ring and showing off. “My challenge to Nathan is to sign the contract to fight me.

“He is the one calling me a mosquito. “If you want to share the ring with the mosquito, let the mosquito bite you.”

Ravalaca said if he was “100 per cent fully prepared, I don’t know what would have happened in the ring.”

“I’m thankful that he (Ali) took the opportunity to fight me, that says a lot about him because no one else wants to challenge me.

“It was a short fight and I just wanted to show my skills and my talent inside the ring.

“I don’t know why people are scared of me, so I thank Farzan Ali for taking this fight.”

Ravalaca said unlike other boxers, he loved it when people “dissed” him.

“A lot of people were saying negative things about me on social media but that didn’t put me down. “I love haters because they are the ones who make me stronger.

“They make me work hard to prove them wrong, and that’s what I did today.” Ravalaca said he was slowly but surely fighting his way towards achieving his ultimate dream.

“I want to be a world champion — that’s my goal and my dream.

“I want to thank all my supporters and family who turned out, it was really amazing, and hope to see you all in my next fight.”

Meanwhile, in reply, Nathan Singh said he had other plans lined up for him.

“I have a fight already in the process for August 19 in New Zealand and that fight has way more to offer than any local fight in terms of ratings and points, nothing taken away from Ravalaca, he has good ba-sics, but yes, he is still very basic and hasn’t been tested against a good, active and hungry young fight-er,” said Singh.

“As I can see he (Mika) has more losses than wins in both pro and amateur and has nothing to offer me at the moment so, I think that fight in NZ makes more sense for me and I’m working closely with my sponsors, my manager and my brother, so that we are off to the United States to further my career after that fight in New Zealand.”
