Mobile giant names new regional chief marketing officer

Vodafone Fiji has appointed Rajnesh Prasad as its new regional chief marketing officer (RCMO).

In a move reflecting the company’s regional expansion drive, Prasad’s appointment comes as part of recent reshuffle at the telco’s top management, with the confirmation this week of former CEO Pradeep Lal as regional CEO and Vodafone PNG chief executive and the appointment of Elenoa Biukoto as Vodafone Fiji’s new CEO.

“The regional footprint is expanding and we are proud to see our team’s career progression,” said Mr Lal.

“Rajnesh has proven his ability as part of the executive leadership team, where he successfully led multiple sales and marketing initiatives, launched innovative campaigns, and drove significant business growth. His strategic acumen and customer-focused approach consistently deliver exceptional results.

“He has been part of the core team responsible for the expansion of Pacific regional operations. He will lead a talented team of professionals and work closely with stakeholders to further strengthen Vodafone’s market position and reinforce its commitment to delivering innovative, customer-centric solutions.”

Mr Lal said Mr Prasad had more than 20 years of experience in technical, marketing and leadership roles, was instrumental in the launch of the M-PAISA platform, and had demonstrated a strong ability to drive business growth and transform organisations.

“His strategic mindset and deep understanding of consumer dynamics will shape Vodafone’s regional growth strategy for the future. He will lead various teams that drive innovation and introduce next-generation products and services in Fiji and the Pacific entities,” Vodafone said in its statement.

“It’s been an incredible journey thus far. I am excited about the new addition to my portfolio as regional chief marketing officer. I am proud to work alongside a team of diverse talents and contribute to the company’s growth by delivering impactful business strategies and driving exceptional customer experiences in Fiji and the Pacific,” Mr Prasad said.

As regional CMO, Mr Prasad will oversee all marketing strategies, brand development, and customer experience enhancement efforts for Vodafone Fiji and the Pacific entities.
