Melbourne to Fiji direct flights

Jetstar, the budget subsidiary of Qantas, has announced it will start direct flights between Melbourne to Fiji on December 16, 2023.

The airline has said they would fly this route three times a week using an Airbus A321neo.

“Since relaunching our Sydney to Fiji services, we’ve seen a strong demand from Melbourne travellers, and from December they will be able to fly direct,” said Jetstar’s chief customer officer Alan McIntyre.

He said Melburnians could access great low fares and a non-stop service to Fiji.

“We’re offering more than 70,000 great low fares seats each year between Melbourne and Fiji,” Mr McIntyre said.

Fiji is a hugely popular destination for Australians, and with interest continuing to grow.

“Travel demand to tropical destinations like Fiji is an at all-time high since international borders reopened,” said Melbourne Airport chief of aviation Jim Parashos.

He said Melbourne Airport was pleased Jetstar was introducing flights to Fiji.
