Municipal Council elections will be held next year.
Finance Minister Prof Biman Prasad said the Coalition Government was firmly focused on facilitating municipal elections.
“The Ministry of Local Government is allocated a sum of $29.3 million in this budget,” he said.
“The Coalition Government has already announced that all towns and city councils will now have elected councillors.”
