Permanent secretaries and ministers alike have been urged to be proactive and improve upon service delivery across all facets of Government.

Minister of Finance Professor Biman Prasad said once the 2023-2024 National Budget was passed, they wanted to hit the ground running and execute all services to the public as best as they could.

“We expect permanent secretaries to get out of their offices and go down and look at what’s happening and understand the problems that are there,” he said.

“It’s no use, them sitting in their offices and signing papers when things don’t happen.”

Prof Prasad said they had discussed this with the permanent secretaries and various ministries, and ministers.
