The Samoa women’s under-19 football side is looking to bounce back from their one-nil loss against New Caledonia when they face Tonga today at Churchill Park in Lautoka.

The side trained on Friday at the Churchill Park’s ground three ahead of their OFC U19 Women’s Championship clash against Tonga.

Samoa’s head coach Juan Chang said the team looked forward to game day and it was great to have a few days off in between.

“We are taking everything one day at a time,” Chang said.

He said despite the loss against New Caledonia, he was proud of the team’s performance.

“We are focusing on connecting the team more and more, and the girls are in good spirits.

“They are always looking forward to giving everything they have for the country and that is both at training and on game days.”

The match kicks off at 3pm.
