Villagers of Nailaga in Ba celebrated a milestone earlier this month with the 100th anniversary of their Methodist Church Mary Ballentine Memorial Chapel.

The occasion was officiated by Ba Methodist Church senior pastor Reverend Samisoni Daunivala.

The church was named after the late Sister Mary Ballentine, who dedicated her life to the education of young Fijian girls.

Hundreds of villagers turned up at the village grounds to celebrate the occasion with a church service and a traditional ceremony.
