A team from Australia’s Kirwan State High School rugby league academy is in the country for two games against their Fijian counterparts.

The visitors arrived Tuesday and will play the South East Rugby League Academy today.

They will face the Western Rugby League Academy on Monday at the Albert Park in Suva.

Kirwan State High School coach Nathan Norford said for a majority of the team the trip was their first to Fiji, and they were really looking forward to experience the Fijian culture.

“We got a under 17 and 18 side here, just excited to come and get to experience some outstanding footy,” he said.

“We know the Fijians are great athletes, and we just didn’t want to miss out the opportunity to come and experience that.

“We’ve got two of our Fijian boys here with us, Aisake Mana and Eparama Kikau, and we will be visiting both of their schools.

“Aisake Mana from Suva Grammer and Eparama Kikau of Marist Brothers High School.

The match today will kick off at 4pm.

“The boys are looking forward for a great game, and also the tours around the beautiful island of Fiji.”
