The Pacific Eye Care Society will be hosting a two-day Pacific Regional Eye Health Conference in Suva from today.
Themed ‘Eye Health for All’, the conference aims to address what it described as pressing challenges and opportunities in eye care throughout the Pacific region.
A statement from the conference secretariat said the conference would also serve as a platform for sharing cutting-edge research, best practices and innovative solutions to improve eye health and address the unique needs of diverse populations.
Participants will engage in in-depth sessions on:
- advancements in eye care technology and treatments;
- primary eye care and community outreach programs
- strategies for addressing preventable blindness and visual impairments;
- capacity building and professional development in eye health; and
- collaborative approaches to addressing regional eye health challenges.
The conference will be held at the Holiday Inn.
