Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s team “Wonder Woman” Reapi Ulunisau has claimed the DHL Impact Player of the Year award.

Ulunisau is an elusive runner and poses danger to any defence every time she is given the ball.

She made 78 tackles, 28 breaks, 76 offloads and 152 carries throughout the season which saw her clinch the prestigious award.

The 28-year-old demonstrated the consistency and delivered the greatest impact against four key criteria — carries, offloads, line-breaks, and tackles.

Despite being named the best player in the series, it was not enough to clinch a place in the Women’s Team of the Year.

Ulunisau, who stands at 1.63m and weighs 59kg was part of the Fijiana 7s team that competed in the women’s tournament at the 2020 Summer Olympics and claimed a bronze medal and a silver medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

This season, she has a total of 170 points, scored 28 tries and 15 conversions.

In her all-time series stats, Ulunisau has played 64 patches with 274 points including 46 tries and five yellow cards.

Ulunisau and Ana Naimasi were the surprise inclusion to the Vodafone Fijiana side preparing for the Test against the Wallaroos this weekend and the Oceania Championship.

Meanwhile, teammate Younis Bese was nominated for the Rookie of the Year award but missed out.
