Singapore 7s: Fiji through to cup semifinal

The Fiji Airways Fiji 7s team is through to the cup semifinal of the Singapore tournament after defeating France 33-21 in the quarterfinal.

A first half double to Terio Tamani and a try to Joseva Talacolo saw Fiji leading 19-7 at halftime.

Iowane Teba and Pilipo Bukayaro scored second half tries for the win.

Napolioni Bolaca was red carded for a dangerous tackle in the second spell.

Fiji will play the winner of the New Zealand-Great Britain match in the semi-final at 8.35pm.

The first semifinal will be between Argentina and Samoa at 8.13pm.
