The Rooster Chicken Fijiana Drua ran in seven tries to score their second win in their Super W title defence after beating the Melbourne Rebels 39-12 at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.

The Inoke Male-coached side crossed scored five tries – two to Vitalina Naikore, flyhalf Ani Mei, centre Vani Arei and winger Milinia Adita – with two conversions to Lavenia Tinai for a 29-0 half-time lead.

Litia Marama and Arei crossed over for the Fijiana Drua’s points before the Rebels scored through 18-year-old prop Laiema Bosenavulagi and debutant Mia-Rae Clifford.

The Fijiana face the NSW Waratahs next week in Sydney while the Rebels take on Brumbies in Canberra.
