Hilton appoints new executive chef

Hilton Fiji Beach Resort and Spa has appointed a new executive chef to head three of their culinary teams. Darren Ferrall takes up the new role to oversee operations for the resort’s three restaurants.

While announcing the appointment, Hilton Fiji Beach Resort and Spa Cluster general manager Carey Osborne said they were delighted to welcome Mr Ferrall into the team.

“Darren is tremendously talented with an impressive culinary background in both corporate and resort destinations,” he said.

“With his fresh and clean approach of utilising the best possible local and native ingredients, we look to elevating our dining experiences and I know both our hotel guests and local Fijian community will love.”

According to the resort, Mr Ferrall has a vast experience in the industry having had opportunities to head teams in Australia, the Middle East and Turk and Caicos.

He was executive chef at The Stanley Hotel and Suites in Papua New Guinea where he was instrumental in driving the food and beverage success of the hotel as the premier destination for the region.

Mr Ferral also previously held appointments in various resorts and hotels in Australia, Middle East, Micronesia, the Caribbean and Turk and Caicos.

On his new role, he said he was looking forward to working with the Hilton Fiji Beach Resort and Spa team.

“I am honoured to join the talented food and beverage team at Hilton Fiji Beach Resort and Spa,” he said.

“I look forward to working with the team to elevate the culinary offerings of the resort by creating unique menus for our guests and further enhancing the resorts reputation as the premier dining destination on Denarau.”
