Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has rallied the Fiji Airways Fiji men’s 7s team to perform well in the upcoming Los Angeles 7s .
The Ben Gollings-coached 7s side is pooled with Australia, Kenya and Japan in the tournament this weekend. yesterday, Rabuka visited the team’s camp in Sigatoka where he told the players that the nation will be cheering them on.
He said even though there had been negative criticisms about the coach and the team recently, he believed the boys had what it took to put Fiji back on top of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series points table.
“Go out there, enjoy yourselves and play well. We are all proud of you and we will be supporting you all the way,” he told the players.
“Go with God and we wish you all the best.” Meanwhile, the team flew to LA last night.
