THE investigation into the disappearance of $850,000 from Westpac Bank Fiji in April, 2022 is still ongoing.
A statement from Westpac said they were still assisting Police in this ongoing, active investigation.
The money was being transported by air from Savusavu to Nausori when it disappeared.
A statement released by the bank soon after the incident said customers’ monies were not affected in any way by this incident.
Questions sent to Police for an update on the investigation remained unanswered when this edition went to press.
