QUEEN Victoria School U-16 team celebrated its after winning the Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby Union’s Vodafone Super Deans U-16 Championship at Churchill Park in Lautoka a fortnight ago.
The committee organised a lunch for the team at the QVS Club at Toorak, Suva, to celebrate the feat.
Committee member Saimoni Ravutu said parents of the U-16 players organised a vakacirisalusalu (victory celebration) for the team.
“We prepared a lunch for the team to thank them for their hard work, sacrifice and retaining the U-16 tittle for Queen Victoria School. It was the continuous support of the parents that made them win the title again this year” he said.
“The continuous support from our parents helped us win the U-16 Super Deans Trophy,” team captain Anare Tabakaucoro said.
“I thank all our parents, teachers and supporters for the sacrifices they made in every game we played during the season.
“I want to thank the boys and the Lord for his guidance throughout the journey and making us win the U-16 title”.
The team dedicated their win to team memeber, Sisaro Koyamaibole who passed away this month.
