OFC Women’s Nations Cup: Fiji Kulas through to semis

The Digicel Fiji Kulas are through to the semi-final of the Oceania Football Confederation Women’s Nations Cup after beating the Cook Islands 2-0 at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.

Captain Sofi Diyalowai got Fiji on the board in the 21st minute after running on to a pass from Players of the Match Cema Nasauto to tap in an easy goal.

Fiji led at the break.

Lusiana Tamanitoakula sealed the match for the home side with a goal in the second half.

In yesterday’s other quarter-final results, Samoa beat New Caledonia 4-2 while Papua New Guinea overcame a spirited Tonga side 6-5 in a penalty shoot-out.

Tahiti will face the Solomon Islands later this evening.
