Update: 4:21PM MORE than 405,604 registered voters have texted their electronic voter registration number to 545 to find out their polling venue todate, the Fiji Elections Office said.
Supervisor of Elections Mohammed Saneem says these
numbers indicate that people are aware of the text 545 platform as a means to
find out where they will be voting.
This free service was set up deliberately to
assist voters find out their correct polling venue. It is imperative that
voters know where they are to vote on 17th
September as voter names
will only appear on the roll at the polling station that they have been
assigned to, Mr Saneem said.
