Looking snug and warm in a pink towel, baby Ecclesia has been described as a blessing by parents Elizabeth and Peni Morrison.
Born on Good Friday at the CWM hospital in Suva, she is the couple’s first daughter.
They are also Christian pastors and place a lot of significance on the day of her birth.
“It is very significant to have a baby on Good Friday so we have named her Ecclesia which means church,” Mr Morrison said.
“On the day that she’s born is the day we remember Jesus dying and that’s what the church is built on, as Jesus is the foundation of our church and faith.”
Mrs Morrison said her daughter came as a blessing as they were suffering the effects of long COVID.
“We had COVID-19 last year and that really affected us,” she said.
“My husband was very much affected and just recently we discovered the long COVID-19 effects and he is just recovering so baby is a blessing for us.”
