FIJI Airways hosted a cocktail event for the stars of popular New Zealand TV show Shortland Street at the Holiday Inn in Suva last week.
And while the event allowed the airline’s business partners to mingle with the actors, it also provided the opportunity to introduce clients to newly-appointed leaders.
Fiji Airways regional general manager Fiji and the Pacific Robert Rounds said changes to their sales team included the appointment of Sharon Jang as reservations manager and Christopher Dalton as manager for the Suva office.
“We are at an exciting phase with a new sales and marketing approach. Ms Jang heads an exciting challenge with overall responsibilities for our reservation centre.
“Mr Dalton takes over Ms Jang’s former role as manager Suva office. Our Suva sales team comprises very talented and professional individuals, who are also the cornerstone of our corporate business.”
Actor Michael Galvin, who plays Dr Chris Warner, said they had been swamped with people wanting to take a quick snap everywhere they went.
“It’s wonderful to feel the support from Fiji. It’s absolutely amazing,” he said.
Actor Kerry-Lee Dewing, who plays nurse Kylie Brown, said this was her fifth trip to Fiji and the experience had been “incredible” so far.
This was actor Sam Bunkall’s first trip to Fiji. He said the experience was overwhelming.
Actor Ria Vandervis, who plays Harper Whitley, said this was her second trip to Fiji and enjoyed working with locals during filming.
