Minister for Rural and Maritime Development and Disaster Management Inia Seruiratu has asked National Federation Party (NFP) leader and Opposition Member Professor Biman Prasad to let him know of communities seeking food rations in the aftermath of a disaster.
Mr Seruiratu made the call after Professor Prasad claimed in Parliament that people who were recently billeted in evacuation centres between Sigatoka and Rakiraki were without food rations for four days.
“I would ask the Hon. Member if there is a community asking him for rations to let me know. He did that when he was in Vanua Levu after TC Yasa but this year he has decided to take a turn,” he said.
