Fiji’s vude prince Savuto Vakadewavosa is set to amplify the joy of Christmas through his Na i Loloma Christmas Fiesta.

Consisting of familiar holiday tunes, Christmas originals, vude numbers, covers and songs released earlier in the year, Na i Loloma or The Gift, will resonate with those searching for hope in tumultuous times.

Award-winning artist and co-founder of the Na i Loloma Christmas Fiesta, Vakadewavosa, promises a night of fun-filled family entertainment featuring a wide genre of musical performances, choir, carols, vude, pop, sigidrigi and dance.

He said having the show a week before Christmas would surely lift many spirits.

“Christmas is just around the corner.

“To have this a week before Christmas is a bonus,” he said.

This annual event launched in 2019 has featured more than 30 artists and performances.

Na i Loloma Christmas show all began really with an idea to present a Christmas event that celebrated many of our favourite holiday songs and with the release of my single Na i Loloma in 2019, it served as the perfect time to host the concert along with the launch of the single.”

The title of the single Na i Loloma is about overcoming painful moments, coming out of the doldrums with an opportunity to give a gift of unconditional love to those around you.

“We are faced with many adversaries in life, and I feel that during these times we find comfort in family, friends and the things we love the most.

“And this is what the entire show is about; overcoming the many challenges with the gift of love through music.

“We try to bring a number of both, upcoming and established artists into the show every year and provide them with a platform to not only earn, but to celebrate their talents through the audience and our media partners,” he said.

He added many of the artists, who would have performed during events and at hotels or resorts, were affected with the pandemic and while many turned to performing online through their social media platforms to earn a living this show was another way to support them.

“So we invite you to join us on December 18 at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva to support local artists.”
