Viseisei Village youngsters, Manueli Pita and Vetaia Bogi are relishing the current school break turning to their favourite past-time- playing carrom board.

At the Lautoka-based Vuda District School, students are looking to pursue very prospective professions later in life.

“I want to become a pilot when I grow up,” said 12-year-old Vetaia Bogi.” Manueli Pita said he wanted to serve his nation and wished to become a police officer.

“While at home, I play rugby, pick mangoes at our village and complete my weekly academic assignments,” said Pita.

The youngsters although enjoying their school break are also missing their classroom friends and the school atmosphere.

“I miss going to school, miss my friends and hopefully the schools open soon.

“I also take out time for farming as well as I have grown cassava, kumala and dalo too at the farm,” said Mr Bogi.
